Our Heartbeat

–  The Why Behind the P.U.L.S.E. –

PURSUE »

We strive to create an atmosphere of worship every time we come together.

Whether it is through song, teaching, or fellowship, our heart is not just to be in God’s presence but to pursue Him with a passion; whether we are gathered together or we are apart. In addition to regular weekly gatherings, we also provide opportunities to worship at the following:

  • Fall Retreat in Branson, MO
  • Spring Break Trips to New York City, California and Colorado
  • South Dakota Missions
  • Special Events/Activities

Unite »

When we gather together, we like to laugh and have fun!

The following are some things we have done and will do in the future:

  • Mystery Dinners
  • Mudbowl (Football Game)
  • Paintball
  • Ice Skating
  • Themed Pool Parties
  • All-Nighters
  • Baseball Games
  • Water Parks
  • Putt Putt
  • Bowling
  • Guest Bands/Artists
  • Frisbee Golf
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • And Much More!

LEAD »

We train & equip students to become leaders.

We provide several opportunities for discipleship on Sunday Nights, Wednesday Evenings and Special Events. We also provide opportunities for students to be a part of the leadership at Pulse. Through the Student Leadership Team (SLT), students can begin to live out what they are learning.  We have two areas that students can serve as an SLT:

The Wave

This area of ministry primarily focuses on preparation, check-in, follow-up, and clean-up for Sunday Night Pulse.

Arrhythmia

This area of ministry primarily focuses on leading the students in worship through song for Sunday Night Pulse.

SERVE »

We teach the value of serving within the community of believers.

We believe in living the lifestyle of a servant. We provide ways for students to not only serve with the body of Pulse Student Ministries but in the church as well.

Providing students opportunities to use their gifts in the church is essential to the growth process as a disciple. Here are a few ways that students can be involved serving within the community of believers at Heritage Church:

  • Children’s Ministry Volunteer (During Sunday School, Nursery, and Children’s Camp)
  • Ushering (During the 9:15am and 10:45am Service Times)
  • Choir and Contemporary Worship Team
  • Food Pantry

For more information on how your student can be involved in serving the church body, please contact us at 479-474-6424.

EmbracE »

Our call as Christians is very simple: “To go and make disciples…” We are called to go!

We are called to share the gospel in Jerusalem (those close to us), Judea (our neighborhoods), Samaria (outside our area of influence), and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).

At Pulse Student Ministries, our focus lately has been particularly on the areas of Jerusalem and Judea, with opportunities to have an impact in Samaria and the ends of the earth. The bottom line: we are called to go and share Jesus!

Current Focus in Missions:

  • South Dakota (Lakota Hope Ministry/Pine Ridge Reservation)

Past Opportunities in Missions:

  • Ozark Mission Project (Throughout the state of Arkansas)
  • Local Mission Project (Fayetteville, AR)
  • Area Mission Project (Van Buren/River Valley)
  • Overseas (Brazil)

Youth & Family Pastors

Email / Facebook

Brian and his wife Shawnna joined the staff at Heritage in January of  2006. They have 3 children. Brian feels so blessed to be able to work with the students at Heritage Church. He has a deep passion to teach the Word of God and show students that being a Christian is a daily thing.

Brian and his family took a leap a faith to move to Arkansas from California, leaving behind their family, friends, and his band Shadowbox Puppets. He is awed that God would allow him and his family to be a part of Heritage Church.

Shawnna Seewald is the Director of Heritage Preschool. She is a Sunday Night Leader, Wednesday Night Surge Leader and, as Brian would say, “my biggest support in ministry!”
